Last Day..north rim Grand Canyon

Okay sunny Arizona...Oh no...it's snow!!

Grand Canyon - North Rim

. Gorgeous views and trees growing out of rocks.

Utah

We thought it may snow it was so cold by Park City/Heber City Utah. But turned out to be a beautiful little town with a home town feeling. Campground was excellent! Dogs had fun diggin for the gophers!

Idaho Water Falls

Thousand Falls Idaho had about 1000 falls...or so. Many creeping falls through the hillside. Shoshone Falls were the Niagra Falls of the West in Twin Falls Idaho.

Campin by the River

We found a small campground with four campsites right on the river it's called "The Big Eddy" because the river runs in a circle and backwards. We enjoyed watching the rushing river for hours!

Idaho

Discovered some beautiful scenery in Idaho between Couer D'Alene and Boise. All rivers were rushing and over the banks, beautiful green mountains and meadows.

Couer D'Alene ID

Stopped in town for a nice night of relaxation. Walked the boardwalk, riverwalk and the beach downtown. This is a beautiful city. Was a little breezy, look at the whitecaps on the water. We did find some blue sky.

Priest Lake Idaho

We made it back to Priest Lake in Northern Idaho. Beautiful mountain lake with two parts. We paddled the slow moving river link between the two lakes. We started early, but still got caught in a rain shower on the way back. Was worth every minute! Also, here's the resident moose on his evening cruise of the beach!

Cameron Lake Alberta Canada

We heard Cameron Lake was beautiful; but when we got there we couldn't paddle it because it is still frozen. We wondered if our boats would break through the ice, but it was about 32 and wind chill was overpowering. So, we'll put that on our "to do" list for summer someday.

Waterton Alberta Canada

Here is the little town of Waterton Canada where we stayed. The town is pictured from the Prince of Wales Hotel. There were lots of little ground squirrels to keep the dogs chasing, barking and alert. Here's one who posed for me. Also, the hotel up on the hill.

Hidden Falls - East Glacier

Hidden Waterfalls were really cool, three separate falls coming from the same area. Two hidden below.

East Glacier

This is Two-medicine Lake in East Glacier, MT. Burrrr..it was cold~!

Glacier Nat'l Park Waterfalls

A few waterfalls from Glacier.

Entering Montana

We camped near Lake Como, in a beautiful campground with full hook-ups..yippee! Mory and the girls were climbing rocks. Also, here's a picture of Lake Como

Over the Summit

It's 100 degrees in Mesa and here its about 47 over the summit in Idaho. We travelled across the Sawtooth mountains and enjoyed the awesome views of snow capped mountains.

Evening Stanley Lake

The Sawtooth Mountain range is known as the floating mountains and the mysterious fog gave that impression on this evening float. Dodging the raindrops and listening intently for the wind, we kept close to shore.

Stanley Lake ID

We settled in for the night at Stanley Lake, ID. We got an insider tip that this was the prettiest lake around and we agreed. The inlet beach front property was available and we had the campground almost to ourselves. We found some rays of sunshine and jumped in the boats for an afternoon paddle. You can see that Zoey was in a hurry to get the boat afloat.

Alturas Lake Idaho

Here is Alturas Lake in Idaho, it's a beautiful little lake that we didn't get to paddle because of the weather, but we did enjoy taking pictures of it.
